Read more…Hi, I'm new to the melbourne community and wanted to know if someone was interested in joining projects with me. If I brought an arduino metal detector does someone have a quadrotor capable of doing a lawnmower sweep so that we can do a scan of a beach for metals (with the results popping up in google maps blips)?

Major Disappointment! Just when I've figgered out how the APM logging function is configured and how I was going to log airspeed. Maybe I'll spend Saturday reworking the pitot and static ports instead.
I could be a chance for a catch up too!
Deakin would be good this weekend. I want to move forward to autonomy nirvana, so I need all the chances I can get. What day/time?
For those who attended the Williamstown fly on Sunday, there's some brief info from my data logs at the end of my Skyfun build thread

David, is Willy large enough to fly a Skyfun? I'd like to bring my sorry-looking patched up foamie along and see if me, someone else or APM can keep it in the air longer than 5s this time. (Mode 2)
Hi David,
Vladimir "Lazy" Khudyakov is a member of DIYdrones and is in Poland (my home town of Warsaw).

David: I should be there tomorrow... may be a few minutes late if I sleep in (it's 1:30 am now and just heading to bed)... hopefully it'll be a calm morning wind-wise.
Yeah, I am at Royal now, not too much breeze, but pretty damp. I will head to MHS. Let me know when you leave.

Hey Dave
I was planning on coming out to Royal Park meet you this morning but given the weather, I suspect you may not fly? If you are, let me know where you will be. If you are not flying, then happy to meet up for a coffee?
