    Guys - considering the weather conditions and given that there's a total fire ban all weekend I suggest not flying.  Looks like it's the perfect weekend to sit in the cool and continue on the number of build projects that are piling up and need to get done.

    This time around I was thinking Saturday morning before the winds and temp pick up.  Sunday will be like hell - 34 degrees and up to 50kmh winds.

  • I could be a chance for a catch up too!

  • Deakin would be good this weekend.  I want to move forward to autonomy nirvana, so I need all the chances I can get.  What day/time?

    Nice work Andrew. (:

    I've been playing around with my Y6s this week and will take one of them out this weekend to Deakin.  Going to playing around with carrying capacity and ROI.  Let me know if you're up (or anyone) for another red baron effort. (;

  • For those who attended the Williamstown fly on Sunday, there's some brief info from my data logs at the end of my Skyfun build thread

    Hey guys - I'm back any have rebuilt my frankencopter, which I'll be taking out to Williamstown tomorrow morning.  Looking at getting there by 0800 and get some flying in before it hits the 40s.  Hope to see some of you there but understand that the warmth may not be for everyone.  After being in negative temps though, I'm looking forward to it. (:

  • I've just discovered that the last episode despatched the USB connector, so I'm figuring out how I can connect and check everything out beforehand.  If I can, then an early one seems doable.

    Hi Andrew, it certainly is big enough for that.  The only problem with Sunday is the temp - 41 degrees.  So I'm thinking I'll be out there for an early start.

  • David, is Willy large enough to fly a Skyfun?  I'd like to bring my sorry-looking patched up foamie along and see if me, someone else or APM can keep it in the air longer than 5s this time.  (Mode 2)
