"@John Longland:
I have never used the wizard.  I prefer using Initial Setup > Mandatory Hardware and Initial Setup > Optional Hardware.  Every thing is right there in front of you, including an all at once ESC calibration that works."

"@Brian Buckmaster:

Power cycling is does cause you to loose settings.  Bad Compass Health means Pixhawk cannot communicate to one or more of the compasses.
If you did not uncheck Compass #3 before you run the calibration you will get Bad Compass…"

Clifton Hipsher replied to Abhirami's discussion PX4 compatibility with different ESCs
"Connect your Pixhawk to Mission Planner.  Navigate to Initial Setup > Mandatory Hardware > ESC Calibration.
Next to ESC Type you will see a drop down menu that says "Normal."  This is the default setting for using "normal" ESCs.  Clicking on the…"

"NAZA does not like BLHeli or SimonK.  NAZA prefers DJI ESCs.  DUH... David Garrett said:
I am sure i read somewhere there was an issue with Blheli ESCs.....I could be wrong as it may have been with DJI Naza FC. I use these ones with my Pixhawk and…"

Clifton Hipsher replied to Abhirami's discussion PX4 compatibility with different ESCs
"Don't even think about using SimonK.  With the exception of Little Bees (which are horribly noisy in RFI), jut about any ESC that uses BlHeli will work.  ArduCopter 3.5.5 and higher support BlHeli. "

Clifton Hipsher replied to jj's discussion I can´t configure esc with pixhawk. in ArduCopter User Group
"I looked at the pictures you posted and I realized I have seen this before.

What caused this was I had flashed a Pixhawk new firmware and Mission Planner wanted to know if I wanted to download ChibiOS which is the Real Time Operating System (RTOS)…"

Clifton Hipsher replied to jj's discussion I can´t configure esc with pixhawk. in ArduCopter User Group
"This can happen for a number of reasons.  One problem that is often over looked is the Throttle channel IN THE RADIO may need to be reversed."

Clifton Hipsher replied to jj's discussion I can´t configure esc with pixhawk. in ArduCopter User Group
"If you are having trouble with Pixhawk booting, try flashing a different firmware like Rover, Airplane, or Helicopter, and then flash with Copter 3.5.7 for a Quad frame.  Flashing first with a non-copter firmware will completely over write Pixhawk…"

"Your param file does nothing for me.

What I really need is a detailed step by step description of what you are doing, why you are doing it, what your expectations are, and what are the results.
Another important piece of information is a detailed…"

Because no two aircraft are ever exactly alike, the sharing parameters and settings is ill advised.

What is the nature of your problem?"

Clifton Hipsher replied to churl11's discussion Stablize is OK, Loiter with forward speed will have a severe vibration in ArduCopter User Group
"The side arms are too long.  This non-standard configuration confuses the firmware and I'd wager this could be the source of the high vibration levels."

"You have the cable miss-wired.  The Yellow wire should be one slot over so that going  from right to left  you have Black, Red, Blank, Yellow, Blank..
The spot where you have the Yellow wire is the INPUT for S.Port TELEMETRY from Pixhawk."

Clifton Hipsher replied to Tom's discussion Pixhawk is not sending chanels into QGroundControl in PIXHAWK

Clifton Hipsher replied to Tom's discussion Pixhawk is not sending chanels into QGroundControl in PIXHAWK
