Hi All,
Before posting an issue or a problem in the ArduRover Discussion Forum, please check the wiki table of contents, review the firmware release notes in the subforum, and search that subforum for existing answers to your question. Help avoid duplicate threads by finding other members with the same issue and their solution.
When formulating your post, use a descriptive title such as "rover will not navigate to waypoints in the Auto mode" (not "HELP!" or "Problem").
Please include the following information to help diagnose your query:
- Describe the problem you are having. What is the expected verses the observed behavior?
- Provide hardware information such as the brand and version of your autopilot, GPS, radio, and compass, as well as any other pertinent details about your rover setup.
- What version of the APM: ArdurRover2 firmware version are you running?
- For navigation issues, provide your tlog and/or dataflash log. Click here for instructions on retrieving a dataflash log.

@saba,
How are you powering your APM? Are you using the PM and have removed J1?
How are you powering the APM servo outputs? Are you using an ESC to power the APM servo outputs?

For anyone else who wants to know this answer as they try to plan out their purchases, I have found out today that a 3 position toggle is not mandatory if you dont mind setting the mode (Normal/Auto/Learn) via Telemetry with a Laptop/PC.
Moving forward with my build, I will be keeping the DX5e an setting the 2 position toggle with Normal an Auto. I will set the APM into learn mode via my PC when needed.
Next weekends plan will be to get the new Receiver installed an purchase the APM 2.5 w/Telemetry kit as well as a FPV setup. Then start planning the install on my Crawler which is a Axial SCX10 Jeep Rubicon.

@Rory,
As far as I know Tridge had only one common Sonar_Trigger value for both Sonars. I know that both sonars were functional in the steering mode, but have never tried using them in the auto mode yet. I will mention this issue at the ArduRover2 code hacking meeting this Thursday.

is there a separate setting for Sonar_Trigger_cm for sonar2? in my tests in terminal both IR are working but in Auto mode only Sonar (1) will trigger obstacle avoidance?
thanks thomas. i really appreciate your help for this forum.
best regards

@saba,
Yes, the Traxxas Stampede will work for you. It is very much like my Traxxas Slash as it has the same motor/ESC and servo steering.
