Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I love autonomous flight but ultimately want to perfect 3D mapping. I live near the beautiful Grampians and would like to be able to map the contours and curves of these beautiful mountains and then one day create a 3D model of them from my homemade CNC router. Skywalker 1900, 4s 5000mAH, Scorpian 830KV Genuine 3DR Pixhawk, GPS, AS sensor. + much more. 100 + hours of research trial and error. So much money and time invested and almost too scared to fly and enjoy:)

Julian replied to Gregg's discussion How to swith minim osd panels from a tx channel?
"Hi Peter ,
Thanks for your reply.  Yes indeed the Failsafe function is what I am having to resort to when flying beyond RC TX range. It is still not ideal as I would like to be able to switch between panels via Mavlink. Some issue between Mavlink…"

"Hi Peter,
Did you manage to get your OSD switching properly?  I am also having trouble getting my Minim OSD to switch. It switches fine via Ch. 7 on my TX but won't switch or toggle via the Servo (Ch.7) screen on Mission Planner. Do you have any…"

"Excellent! Thanks for your input and the pic. Justin. I love those eyes, they look very realistic. I'm going to google for a set of those as soon as I get a chance. Hopefully I can find a similar set only slightly more evil/scary looking.
I have…"

"Hi Cala,
We have a similar bird here in Australia called a Spur Winged Plubber. All show and no action though.
Would these birds actually take your plane out if they could or are they just trying to scare you?"

"Hi Graham, thanks for your thoughts.
The smaller Hawks just seem to loiter in a menacing way however the much larger Wedge Tailed eagles tuck their wings in close to their body and actually come in for the kill. Picture the old German Stuka. I have…"

Yes, I have to agree with you there Pascal in the case of frequent exposure survey flights.  However, currently my flights would only require an image every minute or so once passing over a Point of Interest like cattle troughs etc."

"I Think this is a very, very reasonable request. Imagine if you had a folding prop...... = no prop drag and little loss in stability/speed as most photography platforms are slow flying anyway. This would complement any fixed wing photography plane (…"
