The only other thing to remember is all antennas, especially higher gain ones, are directional. The stock antennas are lower gain so they'll be less directional. In a 3D graph the pattern looks like a…"
"The very first Solo I purchased was DOA. The controller never transmitted SoloLink so I was never able to connect the app or do any updates. The one I have now is the one I exchanged my first one with.
"It's not super obvious at first until you play around with the app a few times.
To change the orbit radius you set your center point first. Then with the center set you can change the radius with the right stick. Forward to decrease the radius,…"
"All depends on the surroundings. I can fly 850' away at my job over open fields. Due to RF congestion I can only fly about 250' away at my parents house.
The RSSI numbers are your best bet to watch. I have never seen full bars in the app. The…"
Yup, posted a ticket. I did remember seeing the support email or post saying that people were a little too quick to do a factory reset that's why I haven't tried yet.
It's odd, the controller, app, and Solo are all talking to each other…"
Hello,Flew Solo yesterday on the new firmware and everything went well. Went to fly tonight and the controller is acting up.It says waiting for GPS even though the Solo app says 10+ satellites and HDOP under 2.0. The app shows 0% battery even…

I was thinking of building something like this but just using some Android and/or iOS devices to run Tower and the Solo app. Basically the case would hold the devices and a sunshade, maybe antennas as well."
"I've been waiting for Solo since NAB. Anxiously waiting, ha ha. The Smart Shots are what set it apart from the entire industry right now. Compare it to anything you want and that's the trump card. It also means that cool shots are within reach…"
"Ha ha, that's funny, my buddy who is a ham operator is the one who brought it up to me. He would have purchased Solo already if it used different frequencies like Iris does. It's not that much money to get the ham license so I would just do it and…"
Hello! With 2.4gHz being so congested will Solo ever be offered in ham radio bands? My buddy said that just below the common 2.4 open licence bands is a ham band. Maybe that could be used? Or 433 mHz like the Iris?Just curious, I love my Solo but…
