Rick replied to kyle's discussion my quadcopter is self rotating

Rick commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Private investigators using drones to catch cheating spouses

Rick commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Private investigators using drones to catch cheating spouses
"That law we talked about earlier for Texas HB912 has been greatly modified since the initial submission, I have no concerns with it. It is limited to control of surveillance and specifically allows all the intended uses that I wanted to see. It does…"

Rick commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Private investigators using drones to catch cheating spouses
"I guess I should add that this is an ACT in the Texas legislation that has been passed and signed into law! This is the state that I live in and must follow their rules! I foresee the FAA doing something like this as well when all said and done. So…"

Rick replied to Reynolds's discussion Proposed 8-Prop Configuration - Is this practical or possible?
"so you are just trying to cut down on noise and you want larger props...The noise from a prop is due to the pitch of the prop slapping the air. To cut down on vibrations from the larger props? Balance them....

From what I understand is that small…"

Rick commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Private investigators using drones to catch cheating spouses
"I don't think this is true cause this is considered privacy invasion and the operator could be taken to court! You are not allowed to "SPY" with the "drone". And he is flying in highly populated areas...another no no! This just goes to show that…"

Rick replied to Richard Rastetter's discussion Buying a Drone: I'm lost
"I will answer your question but please read the entire post. I would suggest putting one together on your own! You will learn a lot from it and be able to repair it. Find you an ARF kit...this will come with the frame and possibly some other stuff.…"

Rick commented on Joshua's blog post "Drone Users Largely Silent Regarding FAA Rules That May Limit Flights"
"He said..." scan eagle has a 99% capture of those aircraft" hmm I have 100% capture of a multicopter. "The FAA must ensure the safety of all airspace both manned and unmanned. Well 90% of us using these for AP are following FAA guidelines for RC…"
