"Forest, do you have your test data someplace where others can look and contribute?  Also do you have similar tests for motors and props?

Your work is greatly appreciated, thank you for your contributions to the community!"

jon c commented on Justin M's blog post FLIR introduce new thermal camera Vue Pro
"Disappointing that it is analog video instead of digital.  Anyone have a better RCA to HDMI converter than this one: http://www.amazon.com/Tmvel-RCACVS-Composite-Converter-Blue-Ray/dp/...  ?"

jon c replied to REAPER's discussion Connecting a FLIR VUE infrared camera on a solo in 3DR SOLO
"Looks good!  Just for clarification, the 3.33V and GND on the bottom of the image are for powering your thermal camera?
Did you ever make a mount?  Hooking in to the expansion port 5V or the gimbal 5v power would be nice to keep things clean."

jon c replied to FPVGenie's discussion Antenna Tracking using Mission Planner and Maestro
"Is there anything I need to do to get the tilt working, like setting a home altitude or something?  I can control the tilt servo with the pololu controller program and with Mission Planner, but when I fly the pan servo works find but the tilt servo…"

jon c replied to Randy's discussion figuring out the Antenna Tracker
"I succeeded in getting the tracker to work via usb using a pololu controller.  I can set the ranges and offsets for both pan and tilt.  The tracker tracks my drone just fine in pan, however tilt moves to -45 and stays there for the duration of the…"

"Has something changed in either the plugin or Mission Planner recently to break compatibility?  I had this working on a computer I just reformatted and I am no longer able to get the HUD to work.  Following the same installation instructions, I…"

Looking forward to the next video"

jon c replied to Thomas J Coyle III's discussion How to Install Dual Sonars on a Pixhawk in ArduRover User Group
"True, the beam with the optics installed is 1.5 degrees, not too useful without scanning.  But without the optics the beam is 6 degrees, though the range drops to 5 meters.  Not great if you are at 5m/s+, but possibly still useful at low speeds?  A…"

jon c replied to Thomas J Coyle III's discussion How to Install Dual Sonars on a Pixhawk in ArduRover User Group
"How about replacing with LIDAR lite, or other lidar?  Should be faster than sonar, though at 6+m/s it may still not be fast enough.  Are there any changes you'd need to make for LIDAR lite instead of sonar?"
