About Me:

I have been involved designing autopilots (hardware and software) , GCS's and UAV's for about 4 years, this site has inspired me to stay with it. I have been an RC pilot for 10 years, I currently fly a 35% scale Extra 300. Looking for UAV/autopilot enthusiasts in Northern Colorado.

"Labview compiles as you write the code, that is one of the nice features of Labview, test as you write. As long as the application is on the computer you have Labview installed on you can run your app any time without the application builder. The…"

"Bill P,

You mentioned your eventual goal is to use your autopilot to fly aerobatics with a neutral plane, what is your take on mixing in rudder as the bank angle increases?

Knife edge circles are fun manuvers also. A little up elevator controls…"

"JC

You mentioned adding up elevator in a turn to maintain altitude, eventually doing that without adding opposite rudder will tighten the turn into a death spiral towards the ground.

Have you watched a neutral aerobatic airplane fly a knife edge,…"

"I finished assembling the ArduIMU a few minutes ago, powered it up using the FTDI cable from the DIYDrones store, ran the LabView groundtest.vi, all is working well.
Great job Jordi and Bill, especially for porting DCM to Arduino/Attmega using…"

"David, I use a dipole for now, for long range I'll use a yagi. The Digi 900MHz modem is a 1 watt tranceiver, 40 mile LOS range at 9600 baud, shorter at 115.2K baud."

"Good point Jack, the cable is a pain. Why didn't I think of that? Again the KISS principal reins. I'll make the changes to the next round of hardware redesigns."
