"That´s a good idea Pableras, but my main problem is where can i get an adequate spring =/"

Bernardo M. A. commented on Bernardo M. A.'s blog post Landing a Quad on a moving car via FPV
"That´s nice too Morli! Could even try it with a plane hhehehe
I had to put the antenna upright because if it was on the most horizontal position, it would be closer to the quad, at the level of the props, so no good"

"Hahhahaah nice idea of the aircraft carrier Paul

Harry, the first landing cost me a scratch on the roof because the aluminum boom hit it =/

Jesse, that´s right. On the 2 first landings, the propellers hit the antenna so I lost lift and I crashed."

I tried to do something different this time: land a quad on a moving car. After 2 unsuccessful attempts (crashes), the quadcopter finally did a smooth landing on the roof of the moving car. The RC quad was controlled from the inside of the car using…

Bernardo M. A. commented on Bernardo M. A.'s blog post Dual redundant BEC + overvoltage protection (crowbar circuit) to power the flight controller?
"Thanks for the great explanation Thomas and Phil ;)

eduardo, thanks for the tip. I´ll use this SBEC. May be I´ll use together with a schottky diode to have some redundancy, i still don´t know."

Bernardo M. A. commented on Bernardo M. A.'s blog post Dual redundant BEC + overvoltage protection (crowbar circuit) to power the flight controller?
"Phil P, thanks for the explanation ;) But isn´t the 7805 a linear regulator (no transistor)?

eduardo, that´s nice to know that =)

Could you recommend a good regulator?
I bought the following SBEC, do you think that´s a good option? There are lots…"

eduardo, i don't know if it was for me, but i'll use it with a multirotor"

Bernardo M. A. commented on Bernardo M. A.'s blog post Dual redundant BEC + overvoltage protection (crowbar circuit) to power the flight controller?
"Phil P, the problem is that I'm planning to use the APM with 6s batteries and the 3DR power module support just up to 4s =/
Do you know if anybody has already used 2 APMs with a circuit to change to the other one in case of a failure? That will be…"

Bernardo M. A. commented on Bernardo M. A.'s blog post Dual redundant BEC + overvoltage protection (crowbar circuit) to power the flight controller?
"hughes, thanks for the detailed information about the circuit! ;) since this circuit is not ok for APM i'll try something else

R_Lefebvre, thanks for the info, i'd take a look. I found it on ebay. If you have the circuit for powering APM with this…"

"eduardo, vou responder em ingles para os outros entenderem tambem ;)
You said the crowbar circuit worked fine but would it be possible to list the components that are needed for the circuit?
I agree that are many factors that cause the multirotor to…"

Bernardo M. A. commented on Bernardo M. A.'s blog post Dual redundant BEC + overvoltage protection (crowbar circuit) to power the flight controller?
"Greg, thanks for the tip, but i'd like something cheaper or homemade / DIY
eduardo, i've never this kind of problem with BECs either but i'd like to turn the multirotor the most reliable possible. I've already had a 7805 that was supplying more than…"

or  ?Hi, when i fly multirotors one of my main worries is to avoid it from crashing. Mechanically I've practically solved it because I usually fly an octocopter (motor, prop and ESC redundancy). My main concern right now is how to power the flight…
