Brian A. replied to Sarel P. Wagner's discussion Open Source UAV Airframe
"Hi all, Iv'e watched this thread grow, by now there should be loads of actual drawings to put up for a vote. Someone suggested a competition earlier, I guess that would do well, best design wins an Ardupilot!
So how about a rotary engine as prime…"

Brian A. commented on Robert Krogh (hooks)'s blog post Special! PROJET MQ-9 Reaper 98
"This is his far I've gotten with mine. Im yet to do a test flight but I think I need a pro pilot first. The landing gear is smack in the middle of the CG, this makes the plane unsure if it wants to rest on the nose wheel or on the tail skid."

"Aww cmon Zach, youve done too much work to let it slip like that. You may be new to this building stuff but your thorough attention to detail and research skills tells me you've got what it takes. I learnt a lot from you that helped me with mine. …"

"Hello Zach, just wondering how you got on with your project. My is coming up good. Still lonesome soldering on the wiring. I intend to mount my batteries on the wings... two, one on each wing and use them alternately to get max flight times. I'll…"

"Yo Ryan. I'm sorry if my initial comment came across as negative to you, I promise you that was not the intention. One thing you are right you do not have to prove anything to me or anybody else, I only asked for more pics because that is what…"

"There's a lot of inequalities in this photo. It is not a workable plan. Try building the porjet model first and learn from that."

"Wow. This is no mean feat! Great job and nice attention to detail. But its a great deviation from the original proposed cad picture posted earlier. I bet the realities of the build challenges forced the tanning down. Retractable wheels...? Build the…"
