"I replaced mine with the 32MBIT version, AT45DB321D-SU. The APM code supports 32 and 16MBIT. Mine died 1 day and has been working fine since replacing it.

"Be careful, I've had my Hero3 turn off mid flight. Luckily it was close enough that I could fly it home safely. Very scary.
Even David on Flite Test had this happen.

"I ran a cap bank for several months so the GPS retained its lock when swapping batteries. I had no issues. It was connected to the PWM input power rail along with the BEC.

"I had the exact issue. Turned out to be a power problem.

I my case, my USB port couldn't power the APM and my rx at the same time. I had to connect the APM by itself, no rx, no telemetry radio if the USB port was the supply.
