Does anybody know of a decent way to waterproof an X copter? There must be a decent way to protect the apm / pixhawk etc and the receiver from water. I live by the great lakes [ Michigan ] and do a lot of boating. I'd love to get some good video but
Building my first quad but having problem with not enough power. 5000 mah 3s 11.1 v 30c discharge rate battery passes through 3Dr power module to distribution board to 4 35amp esc's to 4 1000kv A2212 motors spinning 10x4.8 props. Takes off okay but a
I have apm 2.5 with a fixed wing aircraft. I am running the arduplane 2.72 and like how my plane flies with this version so I have not bothered to update mission planner OR the latest firmware for arduplane.
I see two sets of numbers. Is one the receive strength of the ground station and the other is the received strength of the air? What would be the equivalent of say %50? Thanks
I am wondering if the RFD900 hooked up via usb / OTG cable does anybody have concerns that in full power setting it will be under powered from the droid? I'm by no means an electronic wiz so could be I'm worrying about nothing but as I recall on max
I see a lot of discussion regarding antenna tracking and wonder why this is so common if you can buy a radio like the RDF 900 with a range of 20-30 miles? Seems like I'm missing a significant factor here?
I must be an idiot but I can't tell what version I'm running / is loaded on the APM. I look in the firmware page in MP and it says 2.74 but I don't remember updating to that.
Can someone point me in the right direction for hooking up a RFD 900 to the APM? Is this the cable I'd use? Or do I need to connect manually with individual wires i.e. it's not plug and play? I would prefer not to guess. A picture would be great. Tha
I am hoping someone can shed some light on when or if the apm would increase throttle without an airspeed sensor? For instance say during a flight in auto it starts heading to the next waypoint and the next waypoint is a higher altitude than it's cur
I was thinking today what would happen during a flight mission if my airplane with a nitro engine quit. It would seem the APM would just keep giving it full up elevator leading to a nasty stall thus leading to a not so nice ending. So wouldn't it be
If I set the dist unit to feet is this shown in the HUD ONLY and all else in every single setting is in Metric? For instance when creating a mission there is 'default alt' setting. Is that number always in meters regardless of me selecting feet @ Con
Just got my first APM and have it all set to test but one setting I'm not sure about is the min, max, and cruise throttle settings. Unfortunately my Futaba radio does not show what percentage of throttle is being applied [ it figures my kids cheap Ch
Greetings. New on the forum I just ordered the APM can't wait to get set up. I did search the forum briefly and did not readily see and answer to this question but if I missed it my apologies. The plane I will be using is an older balsa nitro engine
