"Hi Alexey. Not as of yet I have been very busy and the weather has not played fair! Hopefully I will get out this weekend or during next week, I actually spoke about this to my colleague last night and we talked about a good evening to go out and do…"

"Hmm yeah. The CSV export from Sketchup doesn't seem to be perfect at all but is the only way I have worked out how to get an image into 3d space with proper geolocation so I could add the points."

Winston N replied to Winston N's discussion Convert/import a vector and use it as path in UgCS
"PS. There might be a way for me to add a text label (simple numbering) to each point in Sketchup and then output that in the CSV but I have not yet figured that out."

"Hi. Yes you are right on both. The altitude is in feet and the order is not correct. This is the only way I have been able to export these points from Sketchup. The CSV outputs the waypoints in this order. Looking good, great to see the waypoints in…"

"Good morning. Here is the CSV file of waypoint lat/long/alt as outputted by the SketchUp plugin. You will note there are two rows that seem to be the middle ground level waypoint which is visible in SketchUp and placed there automatically so i…"

"Thanks Alexey that would be fantastic! I will send you the CSV file in the morning. Would I be able for me to number/re-order the waypoints after placement on the map by UGCS? The reason I ask is that the CSV output from the sketchup plugin…"

Winston N replied to Winston N's discussion Convert/import a vector and use it as path in UgCS
"Hi Alexey. Yes and no.. :). I managed to get a shape into Sketch-Up, mark out "waypoints" on that in 3D (basically a small plugin for Sketch-Up that displays the Lat/Long for any clicked point. That plugin then allowed me to export the points with…"

"Oh yes Wookong and Naza, they do have less waypoints, I knew that before! Sorry I am being dumb. I will follow what you say with creating the building in SketchUp and see what happens. Thanks again!"

"Thanks that's a great idea with SketchUp I will try that today. I will also try and get this SVG to only vectors and send back to you. With regards to the Phantom 4 max waypoints, we also have some large Wookong Octos and Naza quads we built, all…"

"I suppose even importing & overlaying a PNG image with transparent background could be used as a manual template for "tracing" waypoints as long as it could be moved around in 3D space and therefore placed properly over the map for tracing."

"Unfortunately I cannot program :(. I would love to experiment if I could get the even the SVG visible/overlaid and moveable in UGCS and then add waypoints manually to the path (just using the shape as a template) and manipulate the turn rules etc…"
