Ewing Kang replied to Lukas M's discussion Programming Drone for auto takeoff and landing
"This can be easily achieved with Auto mode. Read this link:http://ardupilot.org/copter/docs/auto-mode.html"

Ewing Kang replied to ALAN CHUA TUAN LIAN's discussion Stabilize mode like Loiter mode !!!
"The (primary) estimation of attitude now in APM 3.4 utilize the "Extended Kalman Filter" algorithm. The method combines all the information including accelerometer, gyro, magnetometer, barometer, GPS, and so on.
Theoretically the algorithm it can…"

Ewing Kang replied to Harald Bauer's discussion Power loss at full tilt (80 or 70deg.)
"Yes, you can do that by seeing if you can measure at least 20A at full throttle. If it's significatnly less than that, it probably means your battery cannot output 80A of current (or you have a really low quality ESCs like I do).
However, my point…"

Ewing Kang replied to Harald Bauer's discussion Power loss at full tilt (80 or 70deg.)
"Then it is unlikely to be an black out/ brown out event. But the lack of the power to ESC is still possible. I would simply guess it not enough power from the battery, or the 20A limits of your ESC has been reached. You can make a static test to see…"

Ewing Kang replied to MHA's discussion Upflash from 3.1.5 to 3.2.1
"I would simply do it again just for sure. You can get it done within 10 minutes if you're familiar with the process."

Ewing Kang replied to Harald Bauer's discussion Power loss at full tilt (80 or 70deg.)
"Not sure what's your configuration, but since the APM will try to compansate throttle for the leaning, 70 degrees of leaning would mean around 3 times of level hovering thrust ( 1/cos(70deg) ).
If any of your ESC maxed out, it'll cause controller…"

Ewing Kang replied to Hans Bakken's discussion ArduCopter Compiling Problems
"Sadly I don't really have a solution. I've bump into the compile problem for APM2.x long time ago, and seems the developer simply stop supporting the version. Maybe you want to check the like below and the link in its reply, but I don't think that…"

Ewing Kang replied to Gaia's discussion Why does the AHRS/DCM limit the pitch to -90 to +90 degrees?
"That's part of the definition of eular angle, used to represent attitude.Let's say an attitude start with level, pointing north. Then you pitch it back for 120 degrees passing zenith. Which is actually end up with first yaw 180 degrees, pitching 60…"

Ewing Kang replied to Wu Yulin's discussion Problem with AC3.3 RC5 px4flow
"I think the code is probably buged. We have encountered the same problem and couldn't fix it yet and sort of gave up. So far we're trying Pixhawk's original firmware."

Sorry, if this is a very elementary problem. But I haven't able to solve it for 3 straight coding days. :(I'm developing a different type of quatrotor controller with ArduCopter V3.3-dev according to some papers. And for those controller, I need…

Ewing Kang replied to Thomas Harvey's discussion Mission Planner not downloading map tiles for my area
"I've got the same problem here today with 1.2.88. This happened without any obvious change on my computer (maybe with few windows 7 updates). 1.2.88 worked well before (and I even had preloaded the map) . After my friends told me he can't load the…"
