About Me:

Beginner to UAV and all things 'copter. Squeezing in a steep learning curve between being a husband and systems engineer. If my wife comings looking for me, I was never here... I'm a linux and virtualisation specialist, but comfortable doing almost anything relating to computers.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I was lucky enough to have my wife buy me my first heli (120sr), and since then have a small library of heli's from syma s107g, s108, wltoys v911, v939, v949, hubsan x4, blade 120sr, blade mCPx/2, goodluckbuy dji f450 clone, butterfly x250 DIY, and a few other bits and pieces and still kitting up on tools.

"With AIO flight controllers like the 20x20mm 6.5g XJB F425, F410 and F310 getting around, I can't help but wonder why ArduPilot/APM Copter doesn't have support for such neat little boards. These things have SPI bus capable of 8KHz refresh rates, and…"

"You could also switch to some smaller Mini ESCs or even a single mini 4-in-1.. would blent into the arms a lot more than those T-Motor Airs."

"@mamoon, there are 6 server/esc pwm outputs broken out already. So no need to jump to CAN. How many motors do you want to drive with a min/micro oriented FC?"

"Hi,

I just wanted to add my voice to the list of people who've experienced multiple crashes when running Pixhawk with Afro ESCs running Simonk (sorry, not sure which version specifically - whatever they were shipped with mid 2014).

I've got…"

Felixrising commented on Randy's blog post Copter-3.3 ready for wider use
"EmergencyStop, InterLock and Brake are some nice new features of AC3.3.
As others have pointed out, some of these are legally required in some jurisdictions.
I'm looking forward to setting these up and carefully testing them out along with all the…"
