I am an amateur RCer and I am an Ecological Designer. My father and I own 2 RC airplanes that we bought when i was a kid and one is an antique 2hp tiger-shark war plane! huge but it was crashed, and my other is a smaller balsa plane that we never finished, because i left for university.
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
I am now returning home with my business and want to start building a UAS FPV GPS GIS photogrammetry survey drone to perform land survey for my clients. I am a huge fan of Open CSource so after a few days of searching I am now joining you all in this excellent and comprehensive community. Thanks for being! I think i will start with a DIY carbon fiber / alluminum frame ( my dad is a carpenter and I am a professional tinkerer) and we are going to add the AMP 2.5+ to start. Learn how to crash less badly, and eventually how not to crash. and hopfully calibrate everything so the onboard sys can help us out. I am thinking of adding IR and Ultra sonic sensors to increase the crash resistance. We are also building small blade cages to protect the copter and the people around it. Eventually I will be setting up my Lumix DMC TS3. which has onboard gps and altimeter and such so it makes for a great photogrammetry camera. SO i am just starting but i think i am in the right place.

"I have a bunch of awg 16 and awg 12 that are 105 Deg Celsius, can i use this instead of the 200 C silicone wiring recommended? its the correct awg for what i need.
