Pedals2Paddles commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Solo Android app update: rewind, pano, zipline and more
"I have some comments on this update. First the good. We now have Zipline and Pano. Both awesome features I've been longing for. The FW 2.4.1-6 also fixed a lot of problems, some annoying and some very serious. The solo is noticeably more stable and…"

I'm trying to create two different bluetooth links to cut down on some wires.  Currently, TELEM1 on the pixhawk goes to the 3DR radio and TELEM2 goes to the OSD.The first and most obvious is bluetooth module on the drone, connected to the PIxhawk…

Pedals2Paddles commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Anti-drone tech jams GPS
"The video is staged bull. That thing didn't magically lead a Phantom to a safe landing. That is all sales marketing blabbering. That is nothing more than an RF jamming device shaped like a rifle. There is no way it doesn't interfere with other…"

Pedals2Paddles commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Anti-drone tech jams GPS
"Jamming any frequency is illegal. It's not that jamming cell phones is illegal. It's jamming anything is illegal.  That's a whole other issue with this device.  Besides creating an unpredictable crash, it is completely illegal in the United States."

"@Emery: No. That's not how radio waves work, nor is that how aluminum foil works. Anything you do to shield your drone from RF based "weapons" will also shield it from legitimate control and GPS.

@Simonl: Yes, and many of them do. But that's…"

Pedals2Paddles commented on Chris Anderson's blog post Anti-drone tech jams GPS
"Does anyone read?  The device is intended to jam BOTH the GPS and the control.  It's basically a broadband highly directional RF **EDIT** cannon.  Wyatt does not understand how RF works if he thinks "write some code to ignore the jamming" is…"

Pedals2Paddles commented on Roger Sollenberger's blog post Solo and Gimbal Update from 3DR
"Doesn't 3DR advertise it as more like 20-25 minutes?? Also, is there any way to use a different higher capacity battery on it?"

Pedals2Paddles commented on Roger Sollenberger's blog post Solo and Gimbal Update from 3DR
"What is the average flight time for Solo these days? Photo type flight.  Not high speed battery sucking flight."

Another unwitting newbie with their shiny new toy, totally oblivious to the rules.  I do not know what brand/model it was, although we can probably all make a rather educated guess.  The big take away here is existing laws were applied and the owner…
