It's been awhile since I've played around with traditional helicopter and multi-copters with pixhawk. I recently got a wild hair to put the pixhawk onto a Stryker RC plane.
Question:
1. Does anyone have this setup or something similar?
I did a few test flights with my phone using follow Me Mode. One problem I can't seem to get the copter to go faster than 5 meters per second in that mode. I would have thought that Loiter and or WPNAV speed would directly effect how fast follow me m
Has anyone used guided mode? I was trying it out today and all is good until it gets to the target from there it wants to spin around in a circle like it's lost.
Maybe I missed something but is there a setting to change the behavior of the AC when it
Curious if the Pixhawk can only support servos at 1520μs? When I look at most tail servos they are usually running at 760μs. Will the Pixhawk support 760μs? If not what Tail servo would you suggest? 900 size machine.
I was thinking about upgrading from my old APM 2.5 to the new Pixhawk and was curious if that is the right route for a large Helicopter platform? I kept seeing people finding some bugs in the system and wanted to know if those have been worked out?
I recently upgraded to 3.1 on a trex 600 running digital servos and I am getting a random twitch. I thought at first it was the ppm encoder so I re-flashed it like I have done before on other APM flight controllers. After doing so I didn't see any ch
Looking into getting a Sony NEX5 camera. I would like to have control over the zoom feature. Has anyone played around with a controller that can do this over a link? Maybe even have a 3 axis controller with zoom capabilities.
I have a 3 axis gimbal that I am trying to integrate on my Helicopter not Multi-Rotor. I figured I would come to this forum discussion because you guys know how this might work.
My Problem is I am running into not having enough channels to work with.
Has anyone had any luck with integrating a gimbal into APM2.5? I see some with multi rotors but nothing for helicopters. I would like to control the gimbal with a joystick and not use any of inputs from a receiver.
I built a helicopter with 900mm blades. The rotor speed is around 1150 RPM. My problem is I am having a hard time getting the helicopter to hover correctly in Loiter Mode.
I was thinking maybe due to the slow head speed that the 9
Is it possible that the magnetometer could become inaccurate due to voltage fluctuations? I am finding that I can loiter for around 8-10 minutes then the mag starts to drift. Yes my Auto_dec is "0" Compass learn is also "0"
I am starting to do some research on cameras for my aerial rig. Right now I have been building up a 1000mm class size helicopter. The camera size isn't a huge issue but I don't want some mondo camera either. The point of this helicopter is for long f
