I'm sure I'm not the only one that caught the Flite Test video a few days ago about "Flite Fest". Is anyone going?? I'm looking into driving 9hours to be there with a carload of RC gear, and would REALLY like to see some Drones!
My flight buddy Jon had a great idea on using the APM with the 9XR to be able to pan/tilt with the same stick that you normally drive with. It would only work while the APM is flying, but its a pretty simple setup.
I got this for my ORIGINAL Ardupilot, now known as "Legacy", but never got it all together. I have the controller, and two sensors, plus cabling. $35.00 shipped in the lower 48 US. Still have original box and directions
I was perusing online stores yesterday, when I found several flat panel 2.4ghz antennas in the 15 dollar price range. Coulld one of these be used on a Tx to extend range? I mean, they have the nice ones, with a very tight beam, but then Ii'd have t
Ok, so I was researching the RQ-11 Raven, as I'm thinkinig about designing a plane based on it, but discovered a new one. The Lockeed Martin "Stalker. I really like both planes, but prefer for FPV work, the clean nose of the Raven. As for building
Have any of you guys used the 2.4ghz DIY conversion kit from Hobby King??? I ordered one yesterday, so I'll follow up here after I install it, but I was hoping for any "heads up" that I could get before I start.
I haven't done any AP stuff yet, can someone tell me what software to use?? I have a keychain camera that shoots 720p video. I intended to capture still shots from the video, then patch the stills together into one large image. Can someone lin
While I was setting up my first wiring on an ArduPilot last night, I noticed the manual shows Input 1,2, and 3. The board itseld though, is clearly marked 1,2,3, and 4. This made me wonder a few things...
Can anyone offer some help with mixing across 2, 2 position switches for mode select? The ArduPilot manual just says "refer to your radio's manual", but when I did, it looks like I maybe can't. I'm running a JRXP662 for helicopter and airplane. It
I haven't gotten my first Ardupiilot up and running yet. I'm hoping to do some GPS navigate at ground level, then put it on a plane. I'm still trying to decide what is best for me to stabilise the plane. The simplest seems to be the FMA co-pilot s
Since the twin booms seem to be the way to go, and I was wanting a payload plane anyway, I decided to build a twin boom. This is 100% scratchbuilt, even the wing. I gave it an RC only maiden flight this morning, and it flew like a dream. Highly s
I've done a lot of AVR Programming over the years, but always did it via parallel. Will the Ardupilot let me do that, or is the software specific to the USB FTDI cable?
Hi folks,I'm just getting into the "drone" aspect of this. I was into robots for a long time, faded out, and into RC foam airplanes. Now, I'm trying to merge the two a bit. I built a fully flyable Predator-esque plane, for foamboard that flies great
