As I found out there are some issues with the code in the Arduino 0011 environment (it works for me in 0010) - i assemble my teststuff tonight and then will get back to you with my findings and my test pde which I am providing here.

I have the same board I guess (STM32-H103). I plan first on getting used to the board: basically learn using uart (done), pwm (done), and adc. Then i would like to design a new board which integrates stm32, pwm outputs, accelerometers and gyroscopes in a small package.
