"That sounds good John. Sorry I didn't know you were away again. We will definitely leave a chair for you on the WA UAV roundtable! Part timers are always welcome too. I'll keep my Sundays open as best I can for when you get back. I'll…"

"Hey John, Were you interested in coming to the meet about the OBC as well on Sunday? Anyone else otherwise?...Would be good to catch up with everyone in the area with the same interests. Coming to the meet isn't committing to the OBC…"

"Hai yeah I know...it's still along way to go. I'd rather rush into it now rather than stress to meet a deadline later! but we still have plenty of time. I'd like to actually "practice" searching for Joe long before…"

"Sorry Guys but I've already committed myself! ;-) If not for the OBC then for a surveillance platform for commercial use. The OBC will be a bonus. I'm pretty confident we can achieve it if most of us chip in. I think…"

"@Hai Did you want to manage the forum/site? A friend of mine who does websites as a job would otherwise be able to do it for us, and he might even be interested in doing some web gui for us as well. In the beginning I thought we could setup a google…"

"Hey Stephen Sorry for rambling on with the imaging stuff...once I get my teeth into something I try to get a good taste of what it's about before I quit. The imaging shouldn't be  a problem, but it will be the core bit of work to nut…"

"Just to add some more to the optic calculations below: If the Samsung camera is at 400m altitude, on full wide (25mm), it will capture a 400m wide path, at full telephoto (480mm) it will capture a 21m wide path or roughly at a 5mm per…"

"James i agree with segregating the individual ideas and solutions. We need stringent testing to achieve repeatable results. At a minimum we would need bimonthly meetings, at least monthly flight testings etc. and then 1-2weeks to put in some flying…"

"James said: "Higher MP cameras will make automated detection more time consuming in an exponential way." This is relative I think. The pixel resolution per sqm is not determined just by the MP of the camera, rather the MP at what altitude.…"

"Yeah Hai thanks for offering your offices to meet up. I'll be there at 10am as well. @ Stephan Sorry I thought you were suggesting we buy a Siltvertone! I agree it's way overpriced, but the ideas are for "free". ;) I also agree…"

"PerthUAV is already taken I'm afraid. I don't mind the silvertone, but I can't see a decent place to mount the cameras/comms. Besides, for $18 000 its a bit steep for what she is...even though she's a looker! I'd rather…"

"John. I was thinkiing of using the Nanobridge M5-25 on the ground with tracking (i have a few spare) and the Nanostation Loco M5 on the plane, possibly even with some sort of limited tracking to help overcome the polarization problems. The…"
