Failsafe in Auto mode

Started this discussion. Last reply by Paul Thompson Jan 25, 2013. 9 Replies

When my plane is in Auto mode and flies out of range of my RC gear (at about 1.2km), the failsafe is triggered. I have set my receiver to deliver a signal around 920 when it loses the Tx. This…Continue

Changing UART0 on APM2.5

Started this discussion. Last reply by James masterman Aug 15, 2012. 4 Replies

Just got an APM 2.5, but unfortunately without the DF-13 to XBee connector that was supposed to come with all APM2.5's. While assembling the board, I noticed that the new DF-13 port is marked as…Continue

Started this discussion. Last reply by James masterman Aug 15, 2012. 3 Replies

Hi, I am using the new 3DR Ublox GPS with the big antenna. It gets a lock very fast and appears to be doing the right thing. However, I am having a weird problem whereby the pitch of the plane…Continue

For anyone interested, I've tweaked the OSD firmware to add a timer and a " time to battery empty" indicator. The timer is very simple and just starts counting when the speed is over 3m/s so you can…Continue

Mapping with Ardupilot

I've been playing with ArduPlane for quite a while and have finally got to the point where I can make it do something useful. I've been inspired by others on this site to use it for aerial photography to make 3D maps and the like.

I have an ST Models Discovery as the airframe (awesome platform for Arduplane by the way) and have made my own camera mount out of plywood for the bottom. It has one servo for roll stabilisation using CHAN 8 on the autopilot to keep the camera…
