If your quad is pitching back or forward during take off, it could be that your leveling is not accurate.  Use a level that has a bubble for accuracy, and check.  Make any adjustments to your quad to permanently adjust for the new level.  Then redo the level set up in Mission Planner.  Individually and manually calibrate each of your ESC to make sure that they are accepting -100% and +100% from your TX.  The instructions are here http://code.google.com/p/arducopter/wiki/AC2_ESC. Also,  even after doing all of this, it is impossible to get a perfect lift off without some counter inputs from your TX.  So if you see the quad pitching back as you increase throttle, counter by pitching forward on the stick, while continuing to increase throttle.  The same if it is rolling.  With enough practice, it will become second nature and you won't even realize that you are doing it.  Once the quad is in the air, the board will stabilize it to some degree depending on your PID tuning.  Hope this helps.

Hi Jeff, I altered your last post and stuck the video directly to the post rather than a link to Youtube.. To do this you need to go to your video in Youtube and select share and then embed, which will give you a script that you copy and then click on the media button in the post reply box (it looks like a symbal for film) and paste the code there, and it will appear as it does now.

It justs keeps the website a bit tidier this way, I hope you dont mind?

Regards Dean..
