Jim Solinski replied to Jon Verbeke's discussion APM2.5 via USB no data
"Hi Gents,   The problem I was having with no device data shoing on the Mavlink was related to a bad 3.3v regulator on the APM2.5.  Since I had bought this used with no warranty, I replaced the Vreg and all is well. Cheers, Jim"

Jim Solinski commented on Max Levine's blog post The easiest way to mount APM2 on ArduCopter.
"This a similar idea to the FeiYu Tech suspension mount.  That was fine for their gyro only FY20A because the vibrations are less of an issue for those sensors, but it gave problems to many who used it on their modules that used accelerometers…"

8 Channel PPM Encoder Version 2

Hi,Is there firmware available for the 8 Channel PPM Encoder Version 2 board to use a Spekrum remote satellite only and get a PPM compostite output? The Spektrum satellite has a 16-Bit serial with no timing pulse output.  There have been other converter boards that can do this such as the TT-RenEnc S1.  Any possibilites for the DIYdrones encoder to come up with this capability?Cheers,JimSee More

"Chris, Correction. I did just see that a third party professional model builder offers his services on the www.quadroufo.com site, so now I see where you got the $1500 RTF costs. But to be fair that includes a professional builder's markup. He…"

"Chris, Math in public? Not sure how you came up with that high a RTF cost?...LOL;) The UAVX total flight control board costs only $460 for a full up version from www.quadroufo.com to include 3 gyros, an accelerometer, a barometer, and GPS. Of course…"

"Very cool list, but a RC Groups thread is not the easiest way to read it. Have you considered doing it as a wiki or as a blog post here? You've have a lot more control over formatting... BTW, you missed the one I fly: the Parrot AR.Drone"
