"Not a very good angle, but this is what I had going on my quad. It was very visible even at eye level. I could usually tell its pitch by which lights were higher than others. Never lost orientation with just lights on the tips. "

So you have hexacopter experience?  I'm working on one in a lab at Mizzou and trying to get the ESCs to cooperate.  I'd love some insight.

Great.  Are you at the University or elsewhere?  Are you pretty familiar with Mission Planner and the like, as well?

I can get them to calibrate, I think, but I can't arm them.

Just starting.  This is pretty new to me.  I'm looking to use it as a cheap remote sensing platform.  If I haven't figured it out by then, I'd love to meet with you and see what you can tell me.  I'm not sure if you're in school or working or what, but if you're looking to get involved with a research project, we're a neat lab and always looking for more folks.

(Realized I posted that on my wall, not yours...)
