Why only 0.5V output for my XBee port?

Started this discussion. Last reply by Darren Mar 4, 2011. 1 Reply

We are providing the proper voltage supply to the main board (right around 7.5V), yet the port where we supply voltage to the XBee on the plane is only outputting 0.5V.  Any ideas why?  The board…Continue

ArduStation LCD screen not lighting up

Started this discussion. Last reply by Dave Buckley Feb 28, 2011. 4 Replies

We ahve succesfully loaded the code to the ardustation and our buad rates match.  When we power the station with an adequate voltage source the LCD screen does not give a readout even when we checked…Continue

Logging data while in flight

Started Feb 24, 2011 0 Replies

Is there a way to log data (such as GPS coordinates, airspeed, IMU readouts, etc.)  from a ground station during flight?  I know we can get these readouts on our laptop using the labview run time…Continue

Power Issues with main board

We were conducting some IMU tests with the ardupilot board and all subsystems connected; including IMU, wireless telemetry, GPS, etc.  Everything was going fine until we had to touch the board to move it.  As soon as we touched the board, which we have done a hundred times before, the system powered off.  There was no visual indication of a short, no smell of burning electronics or any indication of an electrical problem.  Now the board will not power on at all.  We were using the appropriate…See More

Communication with the Main Board Through the Shield

We are attempting to load code through the shield to our arudipilot board. The shield is a DIYDRONES brand and the main board is a Sparkfun Electronics make.  We have been able to successfully able to load the code to the main board without the shield, but when we try to communicate through the board we get errors.  Could there be issues between the two different companies/makes of board?  We have checked all the troubleshooting methods dozens of times and are fairly certain its not one of…See More

Loading to Main Board

I am attempting to load the code to a Sparkfun main board, no shield (we have one but are in the middle of trouble shooting some issues).  The load time took several minutes and at the end I received the following error: avrdude: stk500_paged_write(): (a) protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x64avrdude: failed to write flash memory, rc=-4 Any ideas on what to do?  Already checked the main list of error problems and we are following them all.  Any help is appreciated.  See More

Hi!

Please remember that you should post any questions you might have onto the forums rather than the blog on the main page. Currently the ninq platform, DIYdrones is on, doesn't allow the moderators to move the posts from the blog to the forums so you'll unfortunately have to repost your question to the forums manually.
