"Coaxial eliminates the torque from the power plant / motor w/ counter rotating rotor blades. Single mast helo w/ a tail rotor need the tail rotor to eliminate the torque and for yaw control."

"Fixed pitch main hub is a good start. If you get a full collective then you must deal with the angular difference between retreating and advancing blades when maneuvering from a hover into lateral flight... lets say in a left lateral shift…"

Hi!I would like to make an autonomous helicopter. I've heard that planes are easier, so I can't decide... I have never flown a heli or a plane before.
