I've been flying quads for about 6mos., and realize you can fly them anywhere, parts count is limited and flight parameters are almost unlimited.

Fred Flores replied to Fred Flores's discussion Lost tracking image on MP satellite map when using AUTO in Arducopter Y6 Owners
"Thanks Nigel, I don't use the GCS. If I lost telemetry wouldn't I also loose flight data on the MP. I still have the flight data on the split screen. So I'll have to watch it closer, as I'm usually either using Fat Shark or monitor to view flight. I…"

On the last few Auto-Mission flights I notice I no longer have the Y-6 tracking on my satellite map image. The Y-6 will still fly the mission, but I no longer get the tracking on the satellite map image like I use too. Didn't change anything, has…

Fred Flores replied to Jaime's discussion Power Distribution Board cable issues. in Arducopter Y6 Owners
"Not had the problem, but since this pretty much stays in place once it has been built, what I have used in the past on areas like this is low temp hot glue or silicone, I sometimes use it to make sure the wires also stay separated in tight spaces.…"

Fred Flores replied to Nelson Salez's discussion Y6 Frame 10 Conversion in Arducopter Y6 Owners
"If you change to the Frame 10 conversion, if one of the motors goes out will it still be able to fly. Has anyone tried it yet. The old motor set up if you loose a motor the Y-6 will still fly a little unstable but manageable to at least get it back…"

Fred Flores replied to Jeff P's discussion Compass calibration in ArduCopter User Group
"I fly a Quad and a Y-6 at several different fields and haven't re-calibrated my compass. The only thing I notice is when I switch fields I have to check via Mission Planner that my copters are showing level prior to arming and also you can check for…"

Fred Flores replied to Angus Allen's discussion APM 2.5 2.9.1.b throttles down and lands by itself? in ArduCopter User Group
"Might also want to check status of battery itself. I've had that happen and found that the battery had a bad cell. So now I charge in the balance mode or check the battery with a cell checker to be sure."

Fred Flores replied to Oliver's discussion Setting RTL Flight Speed?
"Yes I changed the WP_SPEED_MAX to 250 and LAND SPEED to 40 and now it comes back slower and doesn't scare me when it flies back to home."

Fred Flores replied to Jeff L's discussion RTL aggressiveness in 2.9
"Not sure if you ever got an answer on this, but this is what I ended up doing.  I had the same problem so I went to the WP_SPEED MAX parameter which was set at 500. I reduced it to 250, I also went to the LAND SPEED parameter which was set at 50 and…"

Fred Flores commented on Xerravon's blog post 6 positions for Futaba 9C Super
"I wonder if this is for a 9C super 72Mhz, I converted mine to 2.4Mhz using the module. I only get the 3 modes too. Does this matter I wonder. Maybe I'll give Futaba a call and see if they can help."
