So yesterday I converted the beta to production (so it would auto roll out to more users). Then a few autobugs came rolling in. This release is a quicky to fix those bugs (crash on exit) before they affect more users).
Alas - I've used up the free storage limit at Mongolab (wow - you have been making a lot of flights!). I've just asked them to bump me to a pay plan so I can turn the service back on...
btw: 3drobotics has kindly been paying for the ec2 server hostin

Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like the main (only?) missing feature for 'at-the-field' is PID tuning. Can you describe for me a simple UI you'd like for the initial version? It would be pretty easy to add.
In google play as usual. Google now says there are >4000 users and a typical weekend sees about a thousand fire up their UAV. Anyone need any features? It seems pretty mature & solid so I've been working on other dronish software.
Thanks for the good feedback all G+ beta test members!
# 1.6.04 * Oops - Last build accidentally broken Nexus 7 portrait. Thank Steve S for the fix. * Increase throttle travel 2x (thanks Steve S) * Don't warn about no gps until we have comms with vehicle
Thanks for the good feedback - I think this small update should address most comments... 1.6.02 now up on google. If you joined the beta test group give it a few hours and it should automatically go to your phone (or you can log in and force an upda
The main feature for this release is something Randy asked me to add: Good on screen joysticks. I had played with screen joysticks before but wasn't really happy with them - I think the solution I've put together is actually quite pleasant for flyi
Google just added a new developer feature, so that particular users can opt-in to being beta testers of certain applications. If you'd like to be offered beta test builds of andropilot, please join the following Google+ community.
This should address a few misc requests - but I've only tested with the simulator. I've been moving so I don't currently have a plane or quad to test with. Can someone please give this (low risk) release a shot and tell me if it works for them? On
It has been a couple of weeks so I thought I'd give an update... I haven't made an Andropilot release in a while, but one will be coming out this week. The reason for the delay is three part:
# 1.4.15 * Add support for upcoming accelerometer cal APM feature (not yet tested with real hardware) * Update param docs from master * Add support for APM Rover * Add beginnings of support for direct connect to PX4 USB
# 1.4.14 * I broke waypoint editing in 1.4.12 - fixed * Fix problem of not creating temp directories on some tablets * Fix a couple of rare autobugs * Sorry Rana: I still haven't figured out what causes UDP upload from the tablet to not work in mission p
# 1.4.10 * fix a couple more autobugs in droneshare * fix an auto bug - droneshare uploads of 'boring' flights would show incorrect message * oops - last release broke lead-it/follow-me - fixed * spoken battery percent was busted (due to localization cha
So this morning I was testing auto takeoff and landing with my bixler 2. The new 'hold wings level' on takeoff works great. I just chuck the plane and start playing with my tablet. However, one strange thing:
everyone should update asap (though the bugs were pretty minor)
# 1.4.09 * Fix a few minor autobugs * Sorry Rana: I still haven't figured out what causes UDP upload from the tablet to not work in mission planner (soon, I'll keep thinking)
