Yiangos Yiangou replied to James masterman's discussion Powering ardupilot
"the power consumption on of the APM and the servos is not that high. the supply is clean enough as ur using batteries , however u need to mesure how much flying time u can get out of the 1500 NiMH :)."

Yiangos Yiangou replied to James masterman's discussion Powering ardupilot
"Well , i see the advantage of having slightly more flying time :) other than that i dnt see any other reason to do it."

Yiangos Yiangou commented on Russell B. Sutton's blog post Polarity Protection for Turnigy 9x Tx
"Sure,
First thinks first, you need to cut the traces that connect the power pin to the rest of the board. You can see that on the pic that i posted. (+ve pin is the middle one) just use a paper cutter or smthing
there is also another trace u need to…"

Yiangos Yiangou commented on Russell B. Sutton's blog post Polarity Protection for Turnigy 9x Tx
"Sure :)
First I cut the trace from the +ve pin (there are 2 traces, one which leads to the bottom pin and one on the other side of the pcb which leads to the smaller perpendicular pcb thouse are connected together probalby to withstand more current…"

Yiangos Yiangou commented on Russell B. Sutton's blog post Polarity Protection for Turnigy 9x Tx
"the forward diode voltage is -4V therefore at ~-11 volts the conductivity is near negligible"

Yiangos Yiangou commented on Russell B. Sutton's blog post Polarity Protection for Turnigy 9x Tx
"IS this works because in order for drain and source to conduct the voltage at the gate must be grater than the gate threshold voltage. so in the correct polarity , in the gate you will have ~11v far grater than the threshold (-2v). When in reverse…"

Yiangos Yiangou replied to srinath mallikarjunan's discussion Using a 3G phone to transmit video data
"for sure there must be a way through android programing ( I dont have any actual advice though )
The quality of the video is again limited due to the bandwith etc.
Is a high quality live feed so important to you? if not you can use a camera which…"
