"Interested. I've been tuning an APM Ecilop for awhile. It's flying well but have had an issue with the gimbal hunting/twitching a bit against my gyros. Is your dead zone code used to keep the gimbal more steady at the center?"
"If there isn't a way, can I request some type of patch-through functionality be added so that you can use CPPM but still output individual channel PWM signals from APM? Or maybe just a revision of the camera shutter feature in the gimbal section so…"
Previously, I was using a receiver that had 7 channels running into the APM individually and 1 running to a separate arduino that I use to control custom camera trigger and mode functions (selected via a PWM switch mix).I just changed to a new…
"There is another thing to compare... Camera Gimbal performance and configuration. I love APM and it's versatility. However, I have had issues with tuning the camera gimbal to function as I would expect.
"Interesting that aside from all this, adjusting the servo limits wider than the values I read does have an effect on the gimbal. Still, I cannot find a way to get leveled in both directions and at center."
I've changed this message like 5 times as my results are difficult to find patterns in. I've done just about everything I can think of to get my gimbal to level at each end and center, but I have not been able too. I did some research on it and hope…
Is the APM2 compatible with the Ecilop Easy in regards to the external gyro gimbal control? I have never used the external gyros but am looking into this frame. Compatibility with APM2 is a major factor and I hope not to use a separate gimbal…
"Well, I am going to convert my DJI F450 into an F550 Y6. Depending on the results, I may go a step farther and test a F550 X8 in a 120 degree pattern. But I am going to start Y6 first and see how it compares."
"I do not know yet from my own experience but from everything I have seen, it's hex and up. I am currently using a F450 with 2 axis GoPro Gimbal and it is quite a task to try to get usable footage outdoors. Inside I have gotten it pretty steady with…"
When I click to add multiple waypoints in the Mission Planner, it automatically closes the path to return to the home point. I want to take off and land in different locations. Am I missing a setting or something? Thanks.
"Oh wow, sweet! Thank you very much, I will read up. I was also considering using altitude to auto-adjust tilt towards a fixed altitude point. Not sure if that is in there yet but like I'll read through it. Cheers."
