We develop custom UAV's in South Africa for everything from general FPV to security and aerial mapping. Our longest flying UAV can stay airborne for around 3.5 hours with a range of 300km. It can carry a payload up to 6kg

"Have a look a libelium waspmote.
It would be easy enough to integrate the data from something like that into a custom MAVLINK frame and get your APM/Pixhawk to send it down to your GCS."
