The problem is not APM software related but the ESCs initializing before the APM board ends booting up so no valid signal are going out the ESC signal pins of the APM.…"

"I Vote for the circular design for power distribution, servo inputs and motor connections for wiring simplicity with shield-type ESC mounted, this way changing a defective ESC will be quite straight forward and easy to perform on the field.
