I do not have a separate controller and separate RX unit to put onto the input pins of the APM. Does this mean I will not be able to use it? This setup has been giving me alot of trouble during setup…Continue

"I understand that now hahaha. I am going to be getting a controller, but I still need it to be flying by tomorrow afternoon. Nothing special. Just showing that it can fly and take good video (which I have already finished, thank goodness, no…"

"If you don't have enough time to test, an RC transmitter is even more a requirement. If something goes wrong you have a back to regain control of the craft. Redundancy is good thing with dangerous flying objects."

"Oh sorry about that ardupilot thing hahaha. I have been messing with this for 5 hours now and am quite tired. I am willing to attempt this without the TX, and understand that it would be quite dificult, but I am on a time limit on when I have to…"

"You need to calibrate everything it's much easier if you have a TX. I would not attempt it as a first try. I cant say no you can't because I've never tried it but I'd strongly suggest against it. I have flown a controller from…"

"Could I do it without the radio is what I was trying to say. I have the 3dr radios and I finally got them working. I really do not want to use the separate radio, but would rather use an xbox controller connected to the computer or joysticks. But I…"

"I'm not sure I understand. But you do need a Transmitter and Receiver to use Ardupilot. You can use the telemetry modules and control it from Mission Planner but that's a bit advanced starting off. You need at least a 4 channel to fly…"

About Me:
I am a beginner RC enthusiast with advanced electronic capabilities. All the RC flying toys i have gotten in the past crashed and burned (most actually burned) except for one which had to crash land.... so all of them.
Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest
I have been trying to build a UAV for personal use in games such as paintball or airsoft. I also wanted one to be able to see live video from the sky.
