"No, no trainer or remote is in this loop. It is something to connect to your computer then the computer produces the signals being sent to the RC receiver. The idea is to set the commands for each channel of the RC vehicle on the computer. Right now…"

USB connected RC transmitter

Hello everyone. I have not been on the site in some time, and the question I am about to ask pertains to a post I know I read on here about a year ago, but have been unable to locate it. I am looking for a piece of hardware mentioned in a post from a while ago. The peice of hardware is a USB connected RC transmitter. The idea is to be able to transmit PWM signals of the type used to control RC vehicles, generated by a computer program. So this piece of hardware is not a remote control, but…See More

"Alternatively the readings could be recorded from 2 seconds in the past, so in order to trim you need to have the AC is the desired state for over 2 seconds without needing to move the controls, then you can release the controls while switching to…"

Auto Trimmer

Been a long time away from the website, and I gotta say you guys and gals have made some significant improvements to an already impressive system. I hope to be back in the field playing with our UATs this summer. I have a question/suggestion, and it involves an auto trimming function. After briefly looking over the code and reading a manual, it appears that the trim values need to be recoded each attempt, even though you keep the values used for the controls in RAM, meaning updating it should…See More

"Been a long time guys! Unfortunately, with the semester starting up and it being too cold to fly comfortably in Michigan (we go to an Air Force base so its a process to get flying) we have put the project on hold. I would be more than happy,…"

"I forgot to mention. When we use the software serial line to communicate we do get jitters in our servos. I imagine this is because the timers normally used for holding the servos are being "borrowed" to operate the software line, but I am…"

Our very first flight (with two way telemetry)

A couple of people at the University I attend and I had our first flight the other day, and we wanted to tell all of you about it.

I will start with the goals of our "team". Our goal is to create a network of UAVs that allow for mulitple users and/or multiple ground stations attempting to control multiple vehicles. We felt that the ArduPilot platform was perfect because we have access to source code, it is inexpensive and a vibrant community which could, hopefully, provide… Continue
