"Hi. I do not use Mission Planner, (works poorly on Linux due to .NET lock-in)  , Using APM Planner, but if you can make it set an unsupported mode using simple GUI, (like a droplist)- that's a nasty bug.  - you should report it…"

"OK, thank you for the hint... so this could have caused the crash? But if so, how is it possible that on mission planner it is actually possible to select this flight mode from the flight modes tab?"

"your FLTMODE3=8  "8" is not a supported mode for Arducopter 3.1.5 PosHold - is mode 16."

Pixhawk fall from the sky in position hold mode

Hi everybody... a few days ago i had a crash with my quad. First i had a completely successful flight, 15 minutes with test of stab and alt hold modes working nicely, then i mounted the go pro gimbal, took off again and everything was working fine till i put the pos hold mode... there the quad immediately fell from the sky as if i had throttle at zero,and even with full throttle applied and stab mode  switched back in as soon as i could  didn't stop the fall and the subsequent crash...Results…See More

Voltage Protector on Pixhawk?

Hi everybody, I was wondering if it would be any good (or bad?) to use a voltage protector like this with the Pixhawk, hooking it to the servo rail, it would give an emergency power backup for a few seconds in case of a power drop or loss, in the latter case it could give the time to trigger an emergency chute and the power to the servo...What do you think?See More
