ArduIMU V3 Magnetometer Calibration???

Started this discussion. Last reply by Yury Matselenak Jun 4. 1 Reply

Hi,So I know that the APM has Magnetometer Calibration(finding the offsets) built into the code but the ArduIMU v3 does not. Does anyone have the link to that snippet of code that calibrates the…Continue

"It looks possible. Just make sure everything is on the same baudrate. Also a large channel separation between the radio pairs wouldn't hurt. Will another aircraft be carrying the retranslator, or is it ground based? "

"It might be GPS + baro??? GPS altitude isn't very accurate. You are right, it looks very fast and smooth, however, it stumbles when the target changes direction. GPS has a slow update rate, so I am guessing they extrapolate the target position…"

"Thorough analysis, thanks. Is differential GPS not a viable option(as the price drops)? I feel it could be much more versatile than visual tracking. I don't think people will want to ruin their shot with pink tracking dots.  "

ArduIMU V3 code is out of date -- team up to improve it?

Hi,

I've seen huge improvements in terms of sensor fusion algorithms implementations into the APM 2.5, but none of those changes have been made to the ArduIMU v3. As a result the arduIMU is EXTREMELY sensitive to vibration and drift. I have taken…

Hi,

For the past year I have been engineering my own autopilot shield for the Arduino Mega(and unintentionally the Due). I hope to be finished by the time AVC rolls around, but I have run into an issue. I currently an using 3 separate Arduinos(Mega: autopilot, ArduIMU, and Atmega328: fail…
