ArduIMU V3 Magnetometer Calibration???

Started this discussion. Last reply by Yury Matselenak Jun 4. 1 Reply

Hi,So I know that the APM has Magnetometer Calibration(finding the offsets) built into the code but the ArduIMU v3 does not. Does anyone have the link to that snippet of code that calibrates the…Continue

"Very interesting. So you have two mesh networks setup with xBee radios running at two different frequencies; lets call them channels. Then you also have a 3DR radio running on its own channel for each node which is talking to a GSC. Do I have that…"

"What's the max number of nodes your network supports? Would this work with 3DR radios? I have read that xbees have some sort of mesh support and I was curious if you are utilizing any of that? Thanks, Daniel"

MavLink Protocol for on board Computer

Hi,I am looking into hosting an external computer/microcontroller on board a copter with an APM. The goal is to provide vision assistance for the sparkfun AVC competition. I have looked into the commands and some arduino Mavlink examples, but I am still struggling with the implementation. The idea is to have the APM run an autonomous mission but if a waypoint is specified(by the user) as a vision assisted waypoint it will look for an object while flying towards it. If an object is detected then…See More

ArduIMU V3 code is out of date -- team up to improve it?

Posted on June 28, 2013 at 7:00pm 11 Comments

Hi,

I've seen huge improvements in terms of sensor fusion algorithms implementations into the APM 2.5, but none of those changes have been made to the ArduIMU v3. As a result the arduIMU is EXTREMELY sensitive to vibration and drift. I have taken…
