Jeff Milay said… For Sure! This is my first APM2 project. APMv2 on xAircraft Hexa Frame. Learning as I go. I finally got it flying in Acro mode right now. Stable mode wants to pitch back so trying to tune that currently! Any ideas from your experience?

Rod Cole said… Thanks for the update on your Hexa. I bought three 24 inch towel bars from Home Depot and cut them in half for the Hexa that I am building. I cut four 8 inch booms from the same material for my quad, on which I want to learn to fly before building the Hex. Started with a really fancy Octa frame made from G-10 fiberglass and TRex-500 boom tubes, but was having problems keeping the motors vertically aligned on the booms, so I sold that frame and downgraded to a Hex for my camera ship. My partner designed the airframe and has a great flying Hex carrying a Canon T3i with a Wookong M autopilot.
Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.203 members
