Altitude as a part of a waypoint

I have been poking around, but cannot seem to find the info on this - which means that as soon as I psot this, I will stumble across it --- but...When setting up a multiple waypoint mission, how do I make it so that the altitude of a waypoint must be reached before going to the next waypoint? For instance, if I want to loiter at a waypoint at 5 meters then ascend at the same Lat/Long position to 20 meters, then when I get to 20 meters, fly to the next set of coordinates?WP1: LAt1, Long1,…See More

I have never seen anything like this, but I want one. Apparently the rotating cylinder creates lift through something called the Magnus Effect.

Checking out my new GoPro - and learning not to accidentally enter Simple Mode

We had a dry day today so I thought I would try out the GoPro Hero 2 I got for Christmas. All went well until I accidentally hit the switch for Simple mode without realizing it. Camera mount popped off and was fine, and I lost one prop nut. Could have been lots worse. Let this be a lesson...

Got everything hooked up except the sonar and i tlooks like a dry weekend coming so hopefully I can get out and do some tuning and flying. Went with 11x4.7 props since the weight is a little higher than I had planned. May swap the arms for wood if flight times are too short.

Hi Scott - I saw a post from you this past year about your uBlox gps not getting a fix. I'm having the same problem and was wondering how you got it fixed.

Comment by Scott Berfield on September 13, 2012 at 12:23pm

Just got one of these and cannot get a lock. the fix light never lights, though the power light does and the Planner software sees it. Not super happy after paying $75.

Thanks!

Turned out it was  abad chip/board. I returned it to 3DR for replacement. The new one worked fine.
