"robert i would recommend u read up because populated areas can be a issue and seeing as how where u live is so TIGHTLY populated it may be difficult if not impossible to even fly RC airplanes around where ur at man. not to dim the light on the fun…"
"The servers at Stanford that host the research papers about this work appear to be offline at the moment. I would like to know more specifics about the hardware they are using to measure their onboard state with enough accuracy and and at a…"
"i know state side (*usa*) if you do it it can be a hefty fine but it seems as though its fine if gov, agencies do it for whatever reason. so i would say no we are not able to do so. We can fly in fields under 400 ft and if its within visual range…"
"You're not going to be able to push photos through the Arduino. You'll get around 5 KB/s at best (on serial, assuming no processing is done), so that's around a minute for a decent 300 KB photo. During this minute the 'duino will…"
i was thinking... knowing the hardware having its memory limits i wonder if its able to have a loader so that way it could have more memory. I was thinking of creating a loader that would pull info from a usb thumb drive that only weighs a cupple oz at best. What would need to be done to do that? I think it would be interesting because the thumb drive would be able to not only hold the code for the arduino to process but it would also make room for say aerial photos or video possible without…See More
"hey... why the fu** would u fly near an airport ... near a crowded area....and over 400' thats breaking all kinds of rules! ppl like this set us back many many years! Thing is although its impressive its freaking dangerous to do that thats why…"
"agreed with melih i would also like one... its just so darn nifty i wana touch it! looks extremely customizable... price and where u got it.. n how u set it up would be great! the frame it self looks like it would cost no more then idk 30-50 bucks…"
"i can honestly say with this improvement we can do so much more with the arduinos within the UAVs.. including status lights in the cockpit window if we want... the more I/O ports the better in my opinion. Cant wait to see it come out of beta testing…"
"how about the cast from youtube's RC foam fighters... they built a RC foam airplane that could fly as fast as 150 miles per hr. That on a UAV drone would be CRAZY especially with what has been developed here!"
i was surfing across youtube today and i came across some really complex autonomous flying. Thought id share with you and see what you guys thought of it. It was done by Stanford university students. …
