"Why not connect the GPS serial port directly to a Laird bridge and do the parsing onboard? No MCU on beacon, just battery + laird (or similar) + gps. The onboard MCU is just as capable of parsing GPS messages as it is MAVlink."

Interacting with a Quadrotor using the Kinect

We played around with a Kinect as a way to more naturally interact with the quadrotors in the Flying Machine Arena and made a short video of the result. Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
