I am planning on trying out different sonar solutions on my quad and was wondering how the transition between using the sonar and using the barometer for altitude hold is programmed? I am running ArduPiratesNG (rev. 527).
Will the PID values be the same for Arducopter Mega as they are with the RC2? I was looking at the differences in the code but am still not sure. Reason I ask is I just set up another quad and am thinking about going ahead and loading RC2 and getti
I want to start a new open project. I know that after I write about it, most of you will say that there are other (maybe even too many) UAV projects out there but, here's what I want to do which is not out there:
I'm still trying to get my quad in the air. It previously had a fault with the XY gyro. The Oilpan was sent back to Diydrones for a fix. They replaced the XY Gyro, but this also affected the pressure sensor, so this was changed also.
I have a dynam hawksy with ardupilot mega and mediatek gps setup. onboard battery is a 3 cell 11.1V 1800mah which powers everything, including the Speed 400 motor and my futaba 7c radio. what im interested in figuring out is the average endurance
If I want to connect proximity sensors, one for each rotor to detect objects sideway, one on top and one on bottom, how many ports do I need? Can they be read on a multiplexer fashion? Are they connected on the autopilot or on the FC? Do they (Ardu h
I uploaded Ardupilot Mega 2.0-Beta Xplane HIL into my APM and ran it in xplane perfectly. modes, rtl, auto, waypoints and altitude all worked. but when i loaded Ardupilot Mega 2.0-Beta and flew it in the field loiter, rtl, and auto all did not work
Long time reader, first time poster and first time project for me.
Let's get cracking, I've got a fair bit of R/C plane experience and I'm an aerospace engineer for defence electronics company, but this is my first project so I still have a few quest
When ArduIMU initializes it accepts the horizontal plane to be the plane of initialization. For example, if I initialize ArduIMU tilted 45 deg in the roll axis it will begin outputting 0 deg roll when it initializes, and will count everything now fr
I just completed building a quad-copter, and I got everything configured and working using the Configurator CLI. However, once I disconnect the USB cable and try to boot from only the battery power coming from one of the ESCs it simply does not boot
After a litlle crash, my USB was detached from the IMU, and probably with no solution because it seems to me that the little cooper paths are also damaged. My question is if I can use the FTDI instead USB? it will work with Arduino software or the co
am student of electronics engg and now have a project to built hexacopter but i had a quad once , guide me from starting for hexa , mathematical formulas etc i required for formality.v.v.v. thankful to you plx plx plx
The ArduCoper 1.1 frame supposedly allows for bigger motors and propellers. Actually one can choose that when ordering from jdrones. With what payload should I consider bigger motors and/or propellers? Is it overkill for an ArduCopter with a GoPro cam
When i start mision planner (0.4.16), setup config.h and load planner window, set the home position after clicking on google map area (to add first WP) i got this exception:
My system is Win7, but the same exception i get on WinXP on other machine.
I am a newbie and working on continuous problems from MK. However, MK is hard to control indoors. Then I found aeroquad and arducopter. Some videos of arducopter seem very suitable for indoor flying with stable pose maintenance. Then, the question ca
