About Me:

Really new to the diy community but i have found the best way to learn is to pick a project that I am really interested in and jump right in. I work for a government contractor in IT and have a degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.

Please tell us a bit about your UAV interest

I love anything that flies. I have been flying R/C planes for over 8 years now and am looking forward to a new challenge.

"I just figured out my problem... I didn't read the instructions correctly. For some reason I thought in the youtube video he said that the signal wire was supposed to be hooked up to the tx hole. It is supposed to go in the AN hole. I feel like an…"

"I am getting the same thing. Did you ever figure out what it was? I get a different constant, but it sounds like the same thing none the less.

Thanks,

"I just thought it was a cool new take on something that has historically been messy and/or toxic. It may not fall under the inventive category except for the unique chemical make up and new branding, but I thought it was cool enough for people to…"

I know this is probably a little off topic, but this seemed like something that the community might like to hear about for prototyping and as a breadboard alternative. This is a ballpoint pen with conductive ink for creating circuits on paper or any…

I wonder if there is any correlation between the mishap and this being posted.  "

"I would like to see the arduino simulator get at least some of the standard libraries brought into it. You can add a servo to a circuit, but if you try to #include <servo.h> it doesnt know where to find it. "

Tommy Neubauer replied to Tommy Neubauer's discussion Channel 4 Motor Speed Problems
"I swapped the esc's by just reversing the plug on the board and the problem persists on channel 4. Even in ground control it shows as only ever getting 2 signals 1049 when it has no throttle or 1249 when it has any throttle. The other channels…"

"Thanks. On the same token I haven't checked the esc as I don't have a spare, but I will try changing them around and see if the problem follows the esc."

"Bob,
Thanks for the recommendation. I have tried a couple different motors with the same result. I have the 2.6 firmware on a 1280 board and in order to do that I had to kill the cli. I am getting the channel output reading from stats in the ground…"

I have been having quite a few random problems with my arducopter. Mostly stemming from what ended in a pretty bad crash a couple months ago. My quad seems like it has wanted to immediately go to a 45 degree pitch at the back right motor.I also had…

It looks to me that the sad day we all knew would eventually come has arrived. The first person that I have heard of plotting to use R/C planes to bomb the Pentagon and the Capital building. It appears he was planning to use some kind of autopilot…

From the way the motor test video looks we wont have to worry about burning out our APM any more by having the motor outs plugged in without battery? Is that correct? I remember it used to cause brown outs that would kill the APM if you plugged the…
