Then "poing" > the idea to use ArduIMU as the stabilization mechanism.

This is the first time I'm using it instead of thermopiles. Everything seems hooked up ok but I'm getting a lagging response from my roll control surface (using it on Aileron).
The elevator response seems much tighter.
