ArduIMU V3 Magnetometer Calibration???

Started this discussion. Last reply by Charlie Harrison Oct 27, 2015. 2 Replies

Hi,So I know that the APM has Magnetometer Calibration(finding the offsets) built into the code but the ArduIMU v3 does not. Does anyone have the link to that snippet of code that calibrates the…Continue

ArduIMU V3 output Error

Hi,I just ordered the ArduIMU and when I try to view it from the arduino serial window it only works for 9 loop refreshes then it displays a line of random characters and then repeats. I believe it…Continue

Hi Daniel, yeah I don't actually have a camera running at 100Hz :) But I profiled the processing time for each frame and it was less than 10ms.

Hi Daniel, I am very interested in your project. I am planning a school project based on visual autolanding using an Intel Edison and would like to talk to you a little more about it. I have been working with your code on github. Will you be updating it soon? Thank you, Sir!

Thanks Daniel, I do have an ODroid and will take your advice. I am using the code you have on Github in the SITL simulator but I think with Mavproxy and DroneKit updates, it is not working well. I had to resolve some attribute issues, then when I go into guided mode, the x and y axis is all over the place. Almost like the quad is oscillating even though the target started out being locked. I understand about school. This project I am working on is for a special projects class. It takes a lot of my time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Precision Land ArduCopter

Posted on March 1, 2015 at 9:09pm 20 Comments

Did some test flights this weekend for my precision landing program(A detailed explanation of this project can be found here.). They were short due to the cold conditions and battery life but beneficial. I was able to attempt the landing four times. All…

Precision Land ArduCopter Demo

Posted on January 9, 2015 at 7:30pm 27 Comments

For the last few months I've been working on vision assisted landing for ArduCopter. The hope is to provide a means of landing a multirotor in a precise matter which is currently not attainable with GPS based landing supported by ArduCopter.

The development of this software was stimulated…

ArduIMU V3 code is out of date -- team up to improve it?

Posted on June 28, 2013 at 7:00pm 11 Comments

I've seen huge improvements in terms of sensor fusion algorithms implementations into the APM 2.5, but none of those changes have been made to the ArduIMU v3. As a result the arduIMU is EXTREMELY sensitive to vibration and drift. I have taken…

NugePilot: Communication Timing Issue

Posted on April 3, 2013 at 9:00pm 5 Comments

For the past year I have been engineering my own autopilot shield for the Arduino Mega(and unintentionally the Due). I hope to be finished by the time AVC rolls around, but I have run into an issue. I currently an using 3 separate Arduinos(Mega: autopilot, ArduIMU, and Atmega328: fail safe) and I am having trouble communicating with them efficiently. …
