Hi all, I'm back on testing ACM, now with 2.0.54. My last test was probably with 2.0.40 or similar.I have tunned my pids and I'm pretty satisfied with the results. My only problem is that when I'm…Continue

As ACM2 continues improving (thanks to Jason and the rest of arducopter team) and my quad is pretty stable, I'm ready to test waypoints/navigation features. I posted my first aborted experience in…Continue

Finally I have solved my problems with the quad turning left and right without touching yaw stick... Don't know if the key is latest ACM versions or the fact that I mount the APM/IMU over foam to…Continue

Finally, someone has created a PID tunning howto video, from scratch to perfect stabilize flight, that I think will be very useful for the arducopter community, specially for those flying non stock frames.
The concepts are already in the AC2 PID tweaking guide developed by Jason, but a visual howto helps a lot!
The guide has been created by…

This is a post to compile experiences in burning boards, since I´m just burned two APM 2560, and I really don´t know yet why this happens.
All started after a crash against a tree (testing AUTO mode with fw2.0.42). The copter stayed some seconds with the propellers blocked in the tree branches and with the thrust at the middle that it had. After that, I started again and only two of the 4 motors worked. The other two did nothing.
I went home and reloaded the code, reset all but still the problem there. While doing that checks, a small burning explosion (with noise and smoke) happens in some part of the board. The APM 2560 was dead (but not the Shield board, tested in other APM).
Then I bought a new APM2560 board, installed againg on the copter and just after switching on...ptass¡ other small explossion-burning-smoke on the board. Switched off very quicky (I was prepared), but in this case the board survived aparently!!! (I´ve mounted in other copter and it flyes perfect).
So, my hipothesis is that the problem is in some ESC damaged with the crash, not in the board. The copter is under quarintene up to clarify this.
Hope this help others having this burning problems, and ideas are wellcome
