Hi Kevin,

Mostly it will ignore your cruise speed setting, because throttle/airspeed are all that's used to maintain altitude. When I first got started I thought it would use the elevator also, but it only does that for attitude control. Make sure the plane is well balanced and trimmed, and if it runs too fast for your liking, then add a little bit of nose up trim. That will slow it down a bit.
