"Very interesting post. I'm wondering exactly what the expectations are of using AI in analyzing the aerial images? For example, AI might be able to count the number of buildings but is that type of knowledge helpful? Just counting things…"

I've been working at the intersection of humanitarian response and technology for 10+ years. Currently at QCRI where I apply advanced computing to improve humanitarian response. Previously co-directed Harvard's Program on Crisis Mapping and served as Director of Crisis Mapping at Ushahidi. I am in Unterageri, south of Zurich, but can easily meeting up if needed! What exactly did you have in mind? It sounds interesting, and I would love to see my payloader put to real use by real users!
