Hi Marvin, 

Essentially the easiest way to do this is to use a pre-defined variable within the code to use as a way to log and transmit your data. What I did for my application was, use the variable "Sonar Range" and send the data through that variable via telemetry and also log it on the micro-sd on board. 

Do you know how to compile your own ardupilot code using MAKE. If not, you will have to learn that online because you will be changing the code quite a bit. If yes, you need to play around with the "user" files in the arducopter folder of the master software. 

I am a bit busy, later I will message you the files I used to log data. (my sensor was I2C based) so you will see that library being used.

Yes i know how to compile the code and have the toolchain installed. I played around with eclipse quite much trying to modify the px4 firmware for my needs without success.

But if it is possile to get this done with the arducopter code would be my dream. :)

I also followed the "Current Bugs/Issues with integration of Piksi and Pixhawk" thread havent read something for quite a long time. I received my piksi rtk kit last week and will try to get it working next week. What about your piksi? Does it function in rtk mode?
