"40" is a interesting size.
Puts it pretty much in the Funjet category, which is actually a pretty excellent UAV platform too.
I wonder if the plane could be improved further by perhaps using a blow moulded plastic fuselage.
"Is this actually anything substantially different than your garden variety LiFePo4 cell?
I'm always looking for better batteries in my gliders. So far I have used a lot of generic LiFePo4 cells from ebay."
"No, you said Gihub was hacked (in the title). It was not.
And you said you recommend to reset the password. No sweat.
If you had stupidly weak passwords, then github probably just saved your sorry arse. They will have told you so. And there is a…"
"I could not find any non-marketing material on this new FrSky telemetry protocol. Except that it should be fully customizable, high bandwidth and low latency. We probably have to wait for the release for more substantial info. FrSKy is usually…"
"Dimitri, this board is used on the airborne side. Why would you want audio there?
FrSky Telemetry receivers don't have voice support just yet AFAIK, but the new Taranis transmitter and modded Open9x do."
"FrSky will soon be releasing their new transparent sensor protocol. Which means you can probably pump MAVLink down the pipe and decode it in your transmitter. (Provided you run a opensource transmitter like FrSky's Taranis or the good old…"
"Exactly. The fact that it is Drones is almost irrelevant.
But this media message of "Please watch us even more" is driving me crazy. Just because some crazy people blew up a few bombs does not mean that we should invite the people in power…"
"How is Drones watching people for security is a good thing? It's exactly the thing that frightens me.
Hey, I love drones. I fly them. But I'm scared that soon we will be watched every step by those buggers."
I had this interest for a long time. Read a lot on the paparazzi mailinglist and wiki. One day I just started buying parts.
And then I realised that I will need some RC experience first. Now I own a few planes and working hard to finish my Bixler based UAV.
